Saint Sulpice la Foret : a 1000 PE waste stabilization pond boosted to 1950 PE by addition of reed bed filters. A 2,400 m², vertical flow reed bed (French system), a 1,950 m² second stage vertical flow, unsaturated plus a 10,000 m² of willow plantation and a 5,000 m² pond treating 400 m3/d of domestic effluent.
A 11000 m2 artificial pond and 2600 m2 reed bed filters were created for the storage and treatment of stormwater and runoff from Servier pharmaceutical Laboratories site in Gidy. Designed to be able to treat once-a-century rainfall. Capacity : 12000 m3. Design : Epur Nature. Established : 2014.
Grenoble – urban park Ouagadougou: a 1 ha urban park with reed bed filters and surface flow wetlands collecting and treating stormwater runoff from the roofs of buildings and from adjacent roads in order to meet irrigation needs of the park and to reduce discharge of stormwater into the municipal sewer system. Aldbrough: A 210 m2, vertical flow bed, treating 14 m3/d of methanol loaded industrial effluent from a gas storage plant.
One stage of reed beds fed with raw sewage assures primary and secondary treatment for 1200 People Equivalent, followed by a trickling filter for polishing and nitrification. A tertiary UV treatment enables a pathogens removal by 4 U log.
Castelluccio is one of the best hotspot of Central Italy, with its spellbound village and the great plateaus at 1400 m a.s.l. in the Sibillini mountain park. The new Constructed Wetland will treat the wastewater of Castelluccio village and tourism facilities, that progressively shift from less than 50 persons during winter up to 1000 or more persons during summer. The current treatment plant is inadequate to support this great variation. The new multistage CW system is constituted by a French scheme system of 1800 m2 followed by two parallel free water-pond system as polishing stage and recreational amenity (the pond will hold several rare aquatic plants typical of the Castelluccio plateau).
