Needs
The park of the Seille was built at Metz (FRANCE) in 2000. The target was to create the park on an abandoned railway site with a High Quality Environmental approach. Thus, the project was developed on three lines:
- Storage and treatment of storm water runoff from an adjacent urban area integrated into the park
- Creation of a new urban landscape with indigenous vegetation
- Renaturation of the river Seille, flowing along the park
Solution
SINBIO was a part of the project team and responsible for:
- stormwater storage and treatment
- renaturation of the river
- creation of a new arm of the river
Benefits
The park is now greatly appreciated by the citizens of Metz while giving ancillary benefits in terms of a landscape, water quality and natural habitats.
