The municipal centralised treatment plant (a classic activated sludge technology) for the wastewater produced by the municipality of Jesi (Ancona province – central Italy) has been upgraded in the year 2002, with the realisation of a new “nitrification-denitrification” compartment and a hybrid Constructed Wetland as polishing stage.

Septage treatment plant of Nègrepelisse with reed bed filters and reuse of the treated leachates to irrigate a Short Rotation Coppice. Capacity : 3500 septic tanks or 11000 m3/year equivalent to 131 T of SS/year. Designed and built by Epur Natur.

The two stage reed bed system at Aumont (500 PE), in the French Jura mountains meets stringent discharge standards in phosphorous removal through a third stage filtration with reactive media

A ten years old system treating the wastewater produced by a winery in Central Italy. Cecchi is a famous wine producer in Italy and the production is certified ISO14001; all the wastewater produced by the "bottling department", located in Castellina in Chianti, Province of Siena, is appropriately treated before to be discharged in a nearby stream by a multistage constructed wetland.

Recirculated vertical flow French system for 800 p.e. with polishing in a "natural" horizontal flow wetland

-          Adapted „French system“ for a nursing home,  Hogar de Ancianos Sta. Ana y San Joaquín y Asociación Ayuda Me Perú

-          All treated wastewater is reused for irrigation of agricultural used area

-          The 2 staged wetland system treats the domestic effluent of 55 residents and employees

-          The pre-treatment is carried out on the surface of an planted, vertical flowed gravel bed wetland with 2 charging points, used alternately (2 and 2 days)

-          The post-treatment is carried out in an planted vertical flowed sand bed wetland with 4 divisions to maintain always the biologically activity in all parts of the wetland

Bezannes : a 8000 m² artificial pond plus 3500 m² of reed bed filters and 1600 m² of wetlands were created to treat stormwater runoff from a large non-residential area.

Allenwiller : a 1700 m², vertical flow reed bed (French system) plus a 960 m² second stage unsaturated vertical flow reed bed filter, treating 495 m3/d of domestic effluent from three villages (1100 PE) in Alsace.
