The Orhei Constructed Wetland treatment plant, the biggest secondary treatment entirely based on CWs in the world

One stage of reed beds fed with raw sewage assures primary and secondary treatment for 1200 People Equivalent, followed by a trickling filter for polishing and nitrification. A tertiary UV treatment enables a pathogens removal by 4 U log.

Crynant: Two 1,200m2 vertical flow reed beds operated alternately to treat 3,400 m3/d of tertiary municipal waste water.

Saint Sulpice la Foret : a 1000 PE waste stabilization pond boosted to 1950 PE by addition of reed bed filters. A 2,400 m², vertical flow reed bed (French system), a 1,950 m² second stage vertical flow, unsaturated plus a 10,000 m² of willow plantation and a 5,000 m² pond treating 400 m3/d of domestic effluent.

Bauduen : a 2-stage Vertical FLow  reed bed filter (French Design) for the treatment of domestic effluent from a village with variable population. A UV tertiary treatment ensures pathogens removal for protection of the bathing area in the lake downstream.

Orelle (French Alps): a 1200 m², vertical flow reed bed (French system) plus a 800 m² second stage unsaturated vertical flow reed bed for domestic effluent under cold climate conditions.

The Badboot in Antwerp. Treatment of sanitary wastewater combined with wastewater from the swimming pool filters. FBA-type (aerated).

2-stage vertical flow reed bed filter treating raw domestic sewage (French system) with a capacity of 650 P.E. Treated effluent goes through a filtering ditch and is rejected into the river Bourdic.

A 10 years old CW multistage system (5 stages: Imhoff+HF+VF+HF+FWS) treating the municipal wastewater for a town of 3500 inhabitants.
